Part of the 2003 Rugby winning side, with 47 Caps to his name, and Captain of his club Northampton Saints for the last two seasons, hooker Steve Thompson is regarded by many as England's finest ever hooker and certainly England's biggest. When you note that he played a part in all but one of England's World Cup performances in Australia in 2003, you realise how central he is to the England side. Steve was influential in England's charge to the top of the World ranking and was integral to their fight to retain the trophy in 2007.

Steve has a regular slot as the rugby expert on TalkSport's drive time show and when not playing rugby can be found shooting, often with team mate Ben Cohen around the countryside of Northampton. Steve is also a football fan, supporting Norwich City and a keen golfer.

Steve has developed a skill for after dinner speaking regarding the demands put upon the squad following the 2003 World Cup success. He is equipped with funny anecdotes and is an inspiration in commitment, hard work and sacrifices, essential corporate skills for any company aiming to be top of their field.

In the 2005/2006 season, Steve was club captain of Northampton Saints, standing down in the 2007 season in order to focus on his international commitment.
